Why TºCool Turf Infill is Perfect for the Golf Green.

Within the synthetic turf industry, the typical infill used for golf greens is a subangular sand blend. The problem with using subangular sand infill for turf, is that it locks and compacts. When a golf ball lands on the green with subangular infill, energy and force is returned to the golf ball. The force restitution from a compacted surface forces the ball to bounce erratically. In addition, the combination of the compaction and sharp edges of the sand wears the turf quicker, reducing the lifespan of the synthetic turf system.

TºCool’s chosen 16/30 sand is a proprietary, high-quality, spherical and well-rounded sand that allows for optimum shock absorption and true ball roll. TºCool sand does not compact and absorbs energy. TºCool distributes the energy from particle to particle throughout the infill matrix, allowing the synthetic turf golf green to accept and hold long golf shots.
